BPFNA's 20th annual Summer Conference/Peace Camp is set for August 1-6, 2005, at Linfield College and First Baptist Church, McMinnville, Oregon. The week will feature Bible study, workshops, worship, and a number of significant speakers.
Internationally-known scholar Marcus Borg will deliver a keynote address, and participants will also hear from Craig and Cindy Corrie, whose daughter, Rachel, was killed while nonviolently protesting destruction of a Palestinian home in the Gaza Strip. Conference faculty includes preacher Carol Sutton, Bible study leader Cam Watts, music leader Michael Stern and plenary speaker Paul Dekar. Carol Sutton is a new addition to the conference, replacing Doris Garcia-Mayol, who will be staying to continue her important work in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.
Conference coordinator LeDayne McLeese Polaski continues to work on final details of the annual gathering, and a partial schedule of workshops is available from the Summer Conference home page.
