BPFNA's 21st annual Summer Conference/Peace Camp, being held this year at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, will be a week filled with inspiration, celebration, learning and fellowship. Dr. C. T. Vivian, Dr. J. Alfred Smith, Sr., Rabbi Michael Lerner, Peter Paris, George Williamson and others will lead plenary sessions, and US Rep. Barbara Lee will be awarded BPFNA's "Lifetime in Peacemaking" award.
We will worship at historic Ebenezer Baptist Church on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and informative workshops on a range of peacemaking topics are offered on Wednesday and Friday. Daily Bible study and evening worship on Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be at Oglethorpe's Lupton Auditorium. A "Katrina Roundtable" on Wednesday afternoon will offer discussion on the impact of and response to the devastation of last year's hurricane in the Gulf region.
It's not too late to be part of this year's conference, with on-site registration running throughout the week. On-campus housing may not be available, but there are a number of hotels within a short distance of Oglethorpe University. Conference information can be found on our Summer Conference page

This year's conference is being recorded, and ten key sessions will be available to purchase (individually or as a set) on audio CD. A highlights video will also be available. The recording is being produced by long-time BPFNA friend Thom Butler of Mercury Public Media, and pre-orders are encouraged.
