January 25 – January 25, 2018
We share a common vision of Shalom - a world where peace means not just the absence of war but also wholeness, community, and respect for life, where no one goes hungry, is homeless or is threatened by violence because of selfishness and greed.
Our common vision is being put into action as BPFNA joins a hopeful new national effort, Christian Witness for Peace in Iraq, to help gather, equip and mobilize Christians to speak out about the war. On March 16, 2007, we will gather in Washington, DC for worship, a candlelight procession to the White House and a late night prayer vigil and witness for peace.
With efforts like the Christian Witness for Peace in Iraq, the ongoing work of Churches Supporting Churches to help restart, repair and rebuild hurricane-ravaged churches and neighborhoods in New Orleans, and much more, your financial support of the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America is more important than ever. Your year-end gift can help us end 2006 financially strong and realize the vision of the Beloved Community as we continue to speak for peace in 2007.Let us recommit ourselves to Jesus' way and to support one another and the engaging, inspiring movement of peacemakers that is BPFNA. As conflicts brew around us, let us not be dismayed, but, finding peace in Christ Jesus, join with others to proclaim the good news of Shalom.
In hope of Shalom,
Interim Coordinating Director
