August 6 marked the 45th anniversary of the signing of the US Voting Rights Act of 1965, which gave African Americans the right to vote. In the photo, US President Lyndon Johnson (left) and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (right) congratulate each other at the Act's official signing, August 6, 1965.
