Many have described Summer Conference as a life-changing experience

Many who attend our annual Summer Conference describe it as a life-changing experience. And when asked why they return year after year, many mention the quality speakers and programming that continue to impact their worldview and work after returning home.

“I can't remember another time when I was listening to a sermon or Bible study, laughing at one sentence and crying over the next. Everybody was so powerful, so right on.  LOTS of material for me to consider in my personal growth and understanding, to share with my board and staff, and to pass on to individual pastors.” –Summer Conference attendee, 2016

“Excellent and challenging program on a variety of ways to practice peacemaking in my local community and congregation.” –Summer Conference attendee, 2015

“Loved it. Great music. Excellent leadership.” –Summer Conference attendee, 2013

Next year we will hold our first-ever Summer Conference in Mexico, and we are working hard to make sure that it will be a memorable experience for all who plan to attend. We’re particularly excited about sharing this experience with those from across Latin America who will be joining us for the first time. We know what an impact this week can have.

This is why we are asking for your help! Throughout the month of November for #GivingTuesday, we will be raising money to bring top-quality, multicultural leadership to our 2017 Summer Conference. This includes leaders like Elsa Tamez and two members from Red Crearte, an organization based in Argentina that produces multilingual liturgical resources, many with a justice-theme.

“Having these leaders at our 2017 Conference will be a great opportunity to learn more about the important peace and justice work being done from Latin American contexts. Their leadership will introduce new ideas and perspectives, and those in attendance will be able to make new connections with people around our continent.” –Ximena Ulloa Montemayor, Summer Conference Program Manager

Our goal is to raise $5,000! Particularly if you know personally how life-changing Summer Conference can be, will you please consider donating to this campaign? Any amount you can give will help!

If you believe in reaching across borders and boundaries to create peace rooted in justice, please help BPFNA ~ Bautistas por la Paz Colour the Dove this November! You can click here to give online or mail a donation to BPFNA, 300 Hawthorne Ln, Suite 205, Charlotte, NC 20204.
