BPFNA Conflict Transformation Training
at the ABC Biennial • June 23, 2011

Conflict – it’s part of our lives, whether close to home or in a war fought overseas. Called by Christ to be peacemakers, we need to learn the skills necessary to work for peace. The Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America has been using Conflict Transformation to address conflicted situations around the world for over 15 years. Those we have trained in Burma, Nagaland, Sudan, Philippines, and throughout Africa are using these skills to bring about new ways of thinking and living that lead to peace.

The Waging Peace workshop will teach you the fundamentals of Conflict Transformation: your conflict style, what the Bible says about conflicts and how to handle them, and Deep Listening – the basis for successful change.

Evelyn Hanneman, Operations Coordinator for the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America, is presenting this Conflict Transformation training on June 23, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., as part of the pre-Biennial events at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan. The $50 fee covers the cost of the material and a boxed lunch and beverage.
