Shalom House is a tool for proactive peacemakers to use to grow in their faith, to express the gospel of peace, to provide the option of reconciliation for people in Philadelphia, and to secure a place for Circle of Hope among God’s worldwide peace movement. The house lives in peace, works in the community for peace daily, creates a network of peacemakers and includes Circle of Hope in it.
We seek new community members to join Shalom House making 1-2 year commitments as space opens in the house. Internships will be available in summer 2012.
Partners make 1-2 year commitments. Committed peacemakers are encouraged to stay beyond a one year term.
Interns will be available in the summer of 2012, for time periods that reflect the school year Fall, Spring, Summer for people who want to learn about Christian peacemaking and living in community. Interns are welcome to make a longer commitment and become Partners.
* Fill out a Shalom House Application and send it to Shalom House Guidance Team Leader, Jane Clinton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
* The Shalom House Guidance Team receives the application, conducts an interview and decides on whether or not to extend an invitation to the person. The general time frame from receiving an application to a possible move-in date ranges from 1-2 months.
