Coretta Scott King Mourned in Atlanta

February 4, 2006 | A crowd of hundreds gathered Saturday to honor Coretta Scott King, cheering as her body traveled through Atlanta. A horse-drawn carriage carried King's body to the state Capitol, where she became the first woman and the first black person to lie in state. Read more »

Captors of CPT Partners Release New Video, Renew Demands

Richard D. Sutton, 1939-2006

January 20, 2006 | The Rev. Dr. Richard D. (Dick) Sutton, retired pastor and home missionary with American Baptist Churches USA, died January 11 from cancer while in the care of his family at home in Norristown, PA. With his wife, Carol, Dick was a long-time member of BPFNA. Read more »
