The Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America has added a veteran financial development officer to its leadership team.
At its annual summer conference, meeting in Berea, Kentucky, The Fellowship's Board of Directors elected W. Robert (Bob) Spinks as the organization's Networking and Development Coordinator. He began his duties at the Fellowship the first of September.
Spinks has more than 30 years of development experience in a variety of Baptist colleges and seminaries, most recently as Special Assistant to the President and Director of Major Gifts at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (Virginia). Among other positions, he previously served as Assistant to the President for Financial Development at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and was the founding Director of Development at the Wake Forest University Divinity School.
A Charlotte, NC native, Spinks is a graduate of Furman University and holds masters degrees from both New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and The University of Iowa. He and his wife have a grown daughter.
At the Fellowship, Spinks will be responsible for fund raising and development, as well as expanding the organization's working partnerships with compatible groups across the continent.
